Bigs of Faith
Faith based mentoring hits the Low-Country 

As part of the Big Brothers Big Sisters faith based initiative, BBBS is actively recruiting mentors from Charleston area churches and religious organizations.  Under the umbrella “Bigs of Faith”, Successful partnerships are currently underway at Cathedral Academy in North Charleston and at both East Cooper Baptist Church and Seacoast Church in Mount Pleasant.  With over 100 projected matches by the end of the year, Bigs of Faith is becoming a Big success! 

By partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, faith institutions receive the benefit of a solid program infrastructure, which can assist them with effective and vigorous outreach within their community.  In addition, Big Brothers Big Sisters provides the management system, gives assistance in the area of recruitment, and handles enrollment and ongoing support of the matches.  These ingredients, combined with God’s universal call to serve one-another, are creating the perfect atmosphere for mentor-based ministries throughout the Charleston area.
